We Lead Next Accessibility Policy
We Lead Next is committed to making our website and platform accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities, people using assistive technologies, and people accessing the platform in low-bandwidth environments or on low-specification devices. This policy sets out our commitment, our current accessibility status, known limitations, and how to request an accessible alternative or report an issue.
This Accessibility Policy is published in compliance with the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 (which applies to public sector bodies) and the Equality Act 2010 (which applies to all UK service providers). Even as a private company, WLN is committed to meeting the standards set by both.
1. Our Commitment
We Lead Next is built as an Arabic-first platform serving MENA founders and Arab diaspora professionals across multiple countries, devices, languages, and connectivity environments. Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox for us — it is a product requirement. Our user base spans diverse digital literacy levels, internet connection speeds, and assistive technology use.
-
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a minimum standard for all public-facing web content.
-
We commit to including accessibility requirements in every design and development decision from the outset — not as a retrospective fix.
-
We commit to testing our platform with users who use assistive technologies, including screen readers, voice control software, and keyboard-only navigation.
-
We commit to reviewing and updating this policy at least annually, and following any significant platform update.
-
We commit to responding to accessibility feedback within 5 working days and to providing an accessible alternative within 20 working days where technically feasible.
2. Technical Standards We Follow
We Lead Next works to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is organised around four principles:
WCAG principleWhat this means in practice for We Lead Next
Perceivable — information must be presentable in ways users can perceiveAll images have descriptive alt text. All video content will include captions (auto-generated and human-reviewed). Colour is not the sole means of conveying information — the Gold/Silver/Bronze tier system uses both colour and text labels. Minimum colour contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text (WCAG AA).
Operable — interface components must be navigableAll interactive elements (booking buttons, form fields, navigation) are operable by keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible. Session timeout warnings are given with sufficient notice. No content flashes more than 3 times per second (seizure risk threshold).
Understandable — information and operation must be understandableThe platform is Arabic-first with English and French support. Form fields have clear, descriptive labels. Error messages explain the error and how to correct it. The language of each page is programmatically identified in the HTML lang attribute.
Robust — content must be robust enough to be interpreted by assistive technologiesWe use semantic HTML throughout. Platform components are built to be compatible with current assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver
